Cookie Policy

Which cookies we use, what they do, and how you can manage them yourself.

What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device to remember information — for example your language setting or your consent choices. Similar technologies (Local Storage, pixel tags) are covered by the same rules.

Which cookies do we use?

1. Necessary cookies (always on)

These are needed for the site to work. No consent is required for them.

  • cookie_consent — stores your cookie settings. Expires after 12 months.
  • wp_session — technical WordPress session. Expires when the browser is closed.

2. Analytics cookies (consent required)

We use Google Analytics to keep anonymised statistics on how the site is used. It is configured so that IP addresses are anonymised straight away.

  • _ga, _gid, _gat — Google Analytics. Expire after 2 years / 24 hours / 1 minute.

3. Advertising cookies (consent required)

For advertising via Google AdSense and partners. These cookies are only set if you accept personalised advertising.

  • __gads, __gpi, IDE, NID — Google ad network. Expire after up to 13 months.

How do you manage your consent?

On your first visit the cookie banner gives you a choice: accept only necessary cookies, or accept all. You can change your choice at any time by withdrawing or giving consent again on this site.

You can also manage cookies manually through your browser settings — in Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge this is found under "Privacy and security".

Third-party cookies

Some cookies are set by external providers (Google). We do not have full control over these. You can find more in their own privacy policies:

Changes

We may update this cookie policy if we change our setup or if the law changes. The latest version is always available on this page.
